At the 1.25.2010 Austin Gun Show rally at the Austin Police Department HQ, Alex Jones walked up on the scene and began bullhorning over our lineup of speakers. I was there for two purposes. 1. Invited as a speaker 2. I helped train security. My actions in response to Alex resulted in a massive wave of support and criticism.

This first video was filmed by me. As you can see, I zoom in on Alex when he arrives, I was excited! Then all hell broke loose and I’ll admit, it took us a few minutes to figure out what to do. After about 6 people approach him, one of the local activists suggests we move to the other side so we can do our thing and let Alex do his. This footage ends with us migrating over to the other side (note the press follows us)

After we moved to the other side, away from Alex, the press followed us. We tried to keep moving forward but it was hard to think! Here is John Bush addressing the behavior by Alex:

I decided to try and talk to him. I didn’t get a word out, but was chastised and yelled at by Alex(love the negative commentary on this video haha).

So, we had moved to the other side, but Alex was still so loud that the local attorney who was to speak before me, declines to speak. You can see that, then my speech in the video below:

Thankfully, during my speech Alex seemed to quiet down. I’ll be honest, it was really hard for me to speak or keep my train of thought at the beginning. Next up was John Bush (isn’t it so much more enjoyable to listen to w/o the screaming in the background??!??):

I had just handed my video camera to another attendee of the event and had opened my camera to live stream Darin Boedeker’s speech (he was the owner of the gun show that was shut down by HEB). I noticed a commotion behind me and heard one of my security volunteers chanting “youtube youtube youtube” which was one of the tactics I taught them to help deescalate provacateur situations. When I approached this situation I heard Alex Jones calling Robert Butler, the ED of the TX Libertarian Party, a “homosexual” and telling him to take his contacts out. I then ask Alex why he is so mean to fellow freedom fighters.

In this video I’m just filming Alex bullhorn. At this point he was behaving completely reasonably as our lineup of speakers were done. Again, he begins to interact with Robert Bulter of the TX Libertarian Party stating, “I’m sorry I brought all these people here”. I was frustrated and confused as to why he was always belittling people and made another attempt to talk to him. At this point he accuses me of being sent there by the Democratic Party.
