Ladies of liberty increasing in number

The majority of LOLA’s 400 plus members appear to be young, educated feminists (men are also allowed to join). Many of them are entrepreneurs with pro-liberty organizations/businesses of their own.

One such example is member Catherine Bleish. Bleish is the co-founder and executive director for the Missouri-based Liberty Restoration Project – an organization whose main focus has been fighting the Federal Reserve system. Bleish was also the Kansas City area grassroots leader for the 2008 Ron Paul presidential campaign and the communications director for the Revolution March.

Catherine Bleish detained in Maplewood MO (Update) Catherine is Free!

Catherine was standing outside of a courtroom repeatedly mentioning how the citizens should not be forced to stand in the cold at a public office when a police officer told her to either shut up or go to jail and mentioned that she needed to be on a leash if anyone had one. She asked why she had to choose either and was subsequently arrested.

Catherine is a brave one! LRP is the group that broke the MIAC report wide open.

St. Charles’ first tea party draws energized crowd who ‘want their country back’

Speaker Catherine Bleish of the Liberty Restoration Project is a 24-year old Mizzou graduate. Bleish reminded her enthusiastic audience that Missouri is a sovereign state, protected by the 10th Amendment of the Constitution empowering states and limiting the power of the federal government.

While frequently interrupted by spontaneous applause, Bleish said, “Missouri is a free and independent state subject only to the U.S. Constitution, not one party’s political ideology.”

Saint Louis Post Dispatch: September 30, 2009
ea party rally set for Friday in St. Charles

St. Charles County Council Chairman Joe Brazil helped organize the event. Brazil, a Republican from Defiance, said he had turned down some other GOP elected officials who wanted to speak because organizers wanted to keep the event from becoming too partisan.

The rally will be preceded by a one-hour “pre-rally” beginning at 4 p.m. During that period, Brazil said, people can stop by information booths and listen to patriotic music.

The speaker list also includes author Kevin Jackson and Catherine Bleish of the Liberty Restoration Project.

Campaign for Liberty: July 28, 2009
M.I.A.C. hearing…Lindenwood University 7/28/09

When Catherine Bleish took the microphone, the days events shifted into a new gear. Here was this young atrractive woman, who by all rights “should” be otherwise, and pleasantly engaged. Instead, she also sat to the microphone armed with sheafs of paper, She rattled off statistic and instances in a rapid fire, emotional delivery that never lost track of her goals. She produced internal documents, e-mails, and relayed how she had “worn out her welcome” at the Governor’s office, in an attempt to get information about this report. I was both inspired, and shamed at how far there is yet to go, to get really “good” at all this. At one point, Ms. Bleish looked around to see that Mr. Fagen had gone back to his ‘pick pockets’, and she stated that she would love to debate him, anytime, one on one, on all these issues, and I for one, would pay good money to see that.

Mo. Gov. Nixon’s security kicks out Liberty Restoration Project. Did they get what they deserved?

(no press is bad press, yes?)

The woman on the video is Liberty Restoration Project executive director Catherine Bleish. She comes off really bratty. I know she really wants answers and this is her fourth drop-in on the guv (even though the Missouri Department of Public Safety has already fallen on the sword for the report), but I doubt he’s feeling the camera crew. And damn, Bleish is whiny.

Anybody got a feeling on this?

Ron Paul pledges to continue Internet-organized ‘Revolution’

Among Paul supporters, a deep distrust of McCain
There were many disaffected Republicans at the Paul rally on Tuesday–including Republican delegates–who felt that John McCain represents big government while his vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin, remains a relatively unknown quantity.

Catherine Bleish, a Republican delegate from Missouri, said she voted for Ron Paul in the Republican primary and is dissatisfied with McCain as the party’s candidate.

“I don’t think he represents conservative values,” Bleish said. “He’s kind of a big-government kind of guy. I’m a states’ rights kind of girl, so there’s a disconnect with him. But I’m not happy with Obama, either, so it’s kind of a lose-lose situation for me.”

Bleish said she considered herself a liberal until she learned more about Ron Paul’s libertarian-inspired platform. She then fully supported the candidate, even organizing marches in Washington, D.C., for his campaign. She said the issues that have drawn her to Paul’s campaign are his opposition to the Real ID Act, the Patriot Act, and the Iraq war.

“I feel like (the war is) bankrupting our economy, and that really concerns me,” she said.

While still showing her support for Paul, Bleish said she is now a staunch Republican, “through and through.”
