Catherine has become one of the foremost experts on the mechanics of the police / surveillance state through her work with Operation Defuse, a nation-wide collaborative project designed around the Department of Homeland Security’s Fusion Centers. Topics: Catherine is willing to speak on a variety of topics - below is a list of frequently requested topics for various settings, please suggest what you feel is most appropriate (and she doesn't mind trying new things, either!)
Forum – Personal privacy or state sovereignty / federalism issues including but not limited to specific state / city legislation, Real ID, Red Light Traffic Cameras, 10th Amendment, Growing Police State, Fusion Centers, the centralization of power, etc..
Workshop – Fusion Centers / Operation Defuse, Open Records Requests, Online / Social Media (how to), the art of guerrilla activism.
Keynote – Self responsibility, becoming the media, becoming leaders.

Schedule: Catherine can only travel to speak once per month. Currently the following months are free in 2010:

Travel: Catherine can currently only accept speaking requests that fund transportation through train or vehicular modes of transportation.
Lodging: If the event is held at a hotel, Catherine will gladly accept room and board. For non-hotel events Catherine would prefer to stay with a local activist to save your event money and to allow her to experience the activist culture in your community! If traveling by car, Catherine will have her two dogs with her – by train she will not.
Food Expenses: If the event is held at a hotel conference, Catherine will gladly accept a meal pass, other events she expects no more than your company at dinner afterward!
Other Expenses: Catherine asks for a small yet negotiable speaking fee to help keep her lights on.
