Gov. Nixon named to national defense council Gregoire leading governors security council President Obama creates Governors Council Obama stealth executive order creating firestormAccording to the Governor’s Office, Missouri’s chief executive officer, Jeremiah “Jay” Nixon D-MO, was tapped last night by President Barack Obama to serve on a new bipartisan Council of Governors.Last month, President Obama signed an executive order establishing the council. The White House says this will give an opportunity for the nation’s governors to advise the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, and the White House. The president says the “bipartisan team strengthens the partnership between our state governments and the federal government when it comes to ensuring our national preparedness and homeland defense.”The council was established on January 11th, when President Obama signed an executive order creating the new group.Advocating a strengthened relationship between federal, state, and local governments, the White House also stated that the new body would review issues “involving the National Guard of the various States; homeland defense; civil support; synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities.”Brigadier General Stephen L. Danner, the Adjutant General of the Missouri National Guard, said “Gov. Nixon [as the state’s Commander-in-Chief] has repeatedly demonstrated his full support of our Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen, both in our home state and deployed overseas.” Danner, like others, believes this means that Nixon is well suited to the task.Larry D. Kay, the executive director of the Missouri Veterans Commission agrees: “Gov. Nixon's appointment to the Council shows his strong support of the National Guard and Reserves, as well as Missouri's military and veteran population.”A Violation of States’ Rights? On January 13th, Lake County Independent Examiner Robert Rule reported that a number of watch groups are concerned that the creation of the Governor’s Council violates the Posse Comitatus Act.If by watch groups, Rule meant the blogosphere, then yes, there are some concerned about this possible violation of states’ rights. A writer with PrisonPlanet.com, a website created by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, says that the president is engaging in an active attempt to federalize the states. The report at PrisonPlanet.com accuses the president of violating the Posse Comitatus Act by trying to federalize the National Guard.Apparently, some, including Chuck Baldwin, the former conservative presidential candidate for the Constitution Party, argue that this new council could empower the military to exercise domestic police powers, which is clearly prohibited by Posse Comitatus.

Announcing: Operation Defuse, 2010 the year of fusion centers
I am pleased to announce that the Liberty Restoration Project has partnered with Texans for Accountable Government to literally take the police state head on.
After attending the Continental Congress of 2009 John Bush, executive director of TAG, and myself realized that our movement is not aware of the intrusive and destructive relationship between DHS and our local/state law enforcement.
You see, DHS has found a back door way to both militarize and federalize every level of law enforcement, and through these “fusion centers”, all levels of law enforcement basically become pledged to the war on terror.
If 2009 was the year of the Federal Reserve, we intend to make sure 2010 is the year of the Fusion Center – educating every activist in our movement and exposing their fraud against the American people.
Learn more about our initiative here: www.operationdefuse.com
This project will involve:
1. Visit every fusion center in the nation, interviewing staff for our new radio show Rise Up Radio (on micro broadcasts in cities all across the midwest including Stl, OKC, and Austin starting January 1!!!!!!).
2. Coordinate simultaneous open records requests to every fusion center in the country during National Sunshine week in March.
3. Conduct community forums in each state to educate the public while building harmonious relationships with local law enforcement (humanize) – these will be live streamed.
4. Provide a central location for each state to display their open records documents… a Patriot Fusion Center of our own
www.libertyrestorationproject.org/wiki
5. Filming for a documentary on fusion centers.
How you can help!
If you want to help out in anyway please consider becoming an Operation Defused sponsor or even the coordinator for your state .
The dollars and cents:
Our biggest expense will be gas and food – So far we have arranged free housing accommodations at every location we have pursued (thank you)! We know how to stretch a dollar, every penny will help. (You can donate to our chipin @ http://operationdefuse.com/) Thank you Cissy for being the first to sponsor us!
We’re also in need of a donated or loaned scanner we can take on the trip to immediately upload any documents we get, a Verizon Wireless air-card so we can live stream our events and our radio show, and a donated or loaned GPS so we don’t get lost on the road! The full estimated cost break down will be posted shortly only our website.
Save the Date Kansas City: December Tuesday 22nd, 2009
We will be kicking off “Operation Defuse” with our annual LRP Christmas Party to be held on Tuesday December 22nd from 6pm-8pm at http://thegustolounge.com/. Big thanks to Sergio and Steven for donating the space to us and supporting our cause! A local friend of the movement is also providing DJ services for the event!
Your $10 donation is appreciated at the door! (if you cannot donate, please come anyway!)
Come ready to hear what LRP has in store for 2010 – we will be making waves bigger than you’ve ever seen!
We are still looking for a donor to provide finger foods and a few kegs so our supporters can mingle and learn while having some fun
Let me know if you are willing to sponsor us in that way (we can get you down as an ODF sponsor)!
RSVP here: http://www.facebook.com/notifications.php#/event.php?eid=229388609971&index=1
Save the Date Austin: December
Our second event will be held in Austin, TX on December 28th. TAG will be holding their annual Christmas party at Bagpipes Pub and Brewery where we will kick off the Southern tour of “Operation Defuse”.
“Operation Defuse” Southern Tour
During the week between Christmas and New years, Catherine Bleish and John Bush plan to visit every fusion center in Texas. On January 4the we will be testifying in the Austin City Council hearing on fusion centers and then we will take off for our next stop, Phoenix. We will be driving through the south hitting fusion centers in AZ, OK, LA, GA, AL, MS, TX and, of course, MO.
Keep an eye on www.operationdefuse.com for the official dates/event locations as they develop.
“Operation Defuse” Missouri
Kevin Kobe, KC Area Director for LRP will be coordinating the Missouri components of Operation Defuse. In February we plan to hold mirror MIAC hearings in the same cities our legislature held theirs. Because LRP feels their report was nothing more than a whitewash, we intend to take liberty loving state rep candidates across the state of Missouri so they may listen to the public and develop a strategy to combat the intrusive nature of fusion centers once in office. We will be inviting law enforcement, the media and the general public to contribute. The goal is to live stream these events on the web.
I can guarantee you the report out of this liberty-candidate committee will NOT be a white wash.
You can learn more by visiting www.operationdefuse.com
Thank you all for your support – I can’t wait to experience liberty in OUR lifetime!
Shoulder to shoulder we stand,
Catherine

Kevin, I can’t wait to work on this project with you. Time to TAKE BACK MISSOURI!!!!!
Operation Defuse – Join the fight against profiling and unnecessary databasing of citizens by government run “Fusion Centers”
http://operationdefuse.com/
Operation Defuse is kicking off as an ongoing collaboration between various patriots and government oversight groups to educate and formulate a plan to provide oversight based upon common principals.
Kicking it off is Catherine Bleish from Liberty Restoration Project (LRP) and John Bush from Texans for Accountable Government (TAG) with a speaking tour of parts of the country with important information on how Fusion Centers have been fought in Texas and Missouri.
The “Fusion” of intelligence between law enforcement agencies is being touted as the biggest step for police collaboration and tools to fight crime in recent history. In reality, the good must come with the bad and this is a terrible step back for Liberty. Fusion Centers provide the backbone for many Government database operations, and some (MIAC in Missouri among others) have reached recent infamy for allowing collaboration with political groups (ADL, SPLC) to influence how warnings are drafted.
There are big plans in the works for Missouri. Starting in 2010 We plan to resume our fight against the improper practices of the MIAC center by using creative local strategies to help the State Legislature come up with a plan with some teeth to ensure that nothing like the Strategic Reports at http://wiki.libertyrestorationproject.org happens again. Stay tuned for details as I have signed up as the Operation: Defuse – Missouri Coordinator.
If you are willing to help, I'm looking for volunteers in Saint Louis, KC, Springfield, and Jefferson City.

Well, now that’s cute. The ADL is calling me an extremist while simultaneously training my a law enforcement on how to fight international and domestic terrorists / right wing extremists. My law enforcement officials are drafting reports calling me a potential terrorist, directly PLAGIARIZING the ADL website (as I testified on in the MIAC hearings).
And there are those who still believe in this war on terror?
Do you not realize that DHS has found a back door way to both militarize and federalize our law enforcement communities and PLEDGE THEM ALL TO THE WAR ON TERROR?
Do you not realize they are being trained to be afraid of US and take arms AGAINST us?
THE WAR ON TERROR IS A FRAUD.
GOOGLE “FUSION CENTER”.
GOOGLE “MIAC”.
GOOGLE “JOINT TERRORISM TASK FORCE”
Choose freedom!
This stuff is real, the police state us upon us, open your eyes fast – before a boot and concrete permanently blind you, you radical!

The St. Louis Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League and the Missouri State Highway Patrol together organized a unique training event at the MSHP Academy in Jefferson City, Missouri, on October 13-14, 2003. The purpose of this training, which involved a variety of federal and state law enforcement officers with domestic and international terrorism responsibilities, was to teach law enforcement officers how to use the Internet in their investigations.
Experts from ADL were on hand to discuss the history of the Internet, as well as how the Internet has been used and misused by extremists of all types. They also outlined the nature of extremist activities on the Internet, from constitutionally protected speech to actions in support of criminal activities to criminal acts themselves.
According to one State Patrol Investigator, “It was an exceptional training that provided tools which have long been overlooked. ADL's instructors have made Internet research understandable for criminal investigators.”
ADL experts further taught attendees information-gathering techniques as well as analytical tips. Attendees themselves were able to hone their skills during several exercises.
Although law enforcement officers have previously been trained on subjects such as “Hate on the Internet” or “Extremism on the Internet,” this is one of the first times that officers engaged in the war on terrorism have been taught techniques to use the Internet itself to help bring suspects to justice.
“In today's crime-fighting environment,” said ADL Director of Fact Finding Mark Pitcavage, “Officers have to be able to utilize the Internet just as deftly as extremists do.”
This training comes on the heels of an October 3 ADL training on hate crimes and extremism for over 50 law enforcement officers at the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy. “ADL is committed to helping Missouri law enforcement agencies protect our state's citizens from hate, bigotry, and extremism,” said Karen Aroesty, ADL St. Louis Regional Director.
