KANSAS CITY, Mo. –

Your next trip to Kansas City International Airport may include body imaging scanners.

KMBC confirmed that the scanners will be coming to Kansas City.

The scanners allow security to see beneath your clothing in order to stop someone from smuggling weapons, explosives or drugs. They are being used in limited areas now but are becoming more common at airports worldwide.

However, the images are fairly revealing, and that is raising issues of privacy, KMBC's Martin Augustine reported.

Many passengers told KMBC that they're willing to risk the scanners if it helps to increase security.

"Anything you can do to make things safer is definitely the way to go," one passenger said.

"If it keeps everyone safe, keeps the terrorists off the planes, that's what we have to do," another passenger said.

Experts said body imaging scanners would have prevented a man from smuggling explosives inside his clothes on Christmas.

Amazing speech, anyone catch his name?!?!

Here is my question:

How does ANYONE still believe these “wars” are in the interest of protecting America?

I mean really? Is it not completely clear?

OH, and to the “anti-war” left who was protesting with me on the streets in 2007 – where are you now?

Has there really been a GOP State Committeeman protesting for peace BY HIMSELF at Grand and Arsenal in downtown StL on Saturdays for 3 weeks?

I mean, really?

Really.

If you cannot see that the corporate elite are using the war to line their pockets and oppress the world through their international corporate police state.

THE LEFT RIGHT PARADIGM IS ENSLAVING YOU, SHEEP.

(sorry this issue really has me upset tonight)

Stunning Statistics About the War Every American Should Know

A hearing in Sen. Claire McCaskill’s Contract Oversight subcommittee on contracting in Afghanistan has highlighted some important statistics that provide a window into the extent to which the Obama administration has picked up the Bush-era war privatization baton and sprinted with it. Overall, contractors now comprise a whopping 69% of the Department of Defense’s total workforce, "the highest ratio of contractors to military personnel in US history." That’s not in one war zone — that’s the Pentagon in its entirety.

In Afghanistan, the Obama administration blows the Bush administration out of the privatized water. According to a memo [PDF] released by McCaskill’s staff, "From June 2009 to September 2009, there was a 40% increase in Defense Department contractors in Afghanistan. During the same period, the number of armed private security contractors working for the Defense Department in Afghanistan doubled, increasing from approximately 5,000 to more than 10,000."

At present, there are 104,000 Department of Defense contractors in Afghanistan. According to a report this week from the Congressional Research Service, as a result of the coming surge of 30,000 troops in Afghanistan, there may be up to 56,000 additional contractors deployed. But here is another group of contractors that often goes unmentioned: 3,600 State Department contractors and 14,000 USAID contractors. That means that the current total US force in Afghanistan is approximately 189,000 personnel (68,000 US troops and 121,000 contractors). And remember, that’s right now. And that, according to McCaskill, is a conservative estimate. A year from now, we will likely see more than 220,000 US-funded personnel on the ground in Afghanistan.

The US has spent more than $23 billion on contracts in Afghanistan since 2002. By next year, the number of contractors will have doubled since 2008 when taxpayers funded over $8 billion in Afghanistan-related contracts.

Despite the massive number of contracts and contractors in Afghanistan, oversight is utterly lacking. "The increase in Afghanistan contracts has not seen a corresponding increase in contract management and oversight," according to McCaskill’s briefing paper. "In May 2009, DCMA [Defense Contract Management Agency] Director Charlie Williams told the Commission on Wartime Contracting that as many as 362 positions for Contracting Officer’s Representatives (CORs) in Afghanistan were currently vacant."

Prepare For Rebellion, Obama Orders US-Canadian Troops

Obama the Communist

Obama, the Communist

Kremlin position papers presented to Prime Minister Putin today on his upcoming meeting with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen state that the European-US military alliance has authorized an ‘emergency request’ from President Obama to utilize American and Canadian NATO troops to put down what is expected to be a “rebellion” after the expected January, 2010 ‘declaration of bankruptcy’ by the State of California.

According to these reports, Obama’s fears of rebellion are due to the economic health of California (the United States largest State) after the 3rd largest US State, New York, declared a ‘fiscal emergency’ and refused to release to its cities and towns over $750 Million due them this past week with the Governor of New York, David Paterson, declaring “I can’t say this enough: The state has run out of money.”

New York’s fiscal crisis, however, pales in comparison to California’s, where new economic data points to its expected 5-year budget deficit reaching the staggering amount of over $100 Billion which Russian economists warn will result in budget cuts so steep as to create ‘social chaos’ among this States 36 million citizens.

Reports from the United States are, indeed, confirming the mass movement of military supplies and thousands of Canadian Special Forces Troops to California from the Canadian Forces Base of Petawawa to join their American military counterparts, with ‘secondary’ reports stating that at least 1,000 tanks are massing their too.

Russian Military Analysts are further warning in this report that Obama has decided to implement the feared RAND Corporation (one of the most powerful research arms of the US Military-Industrial-Homeland Security Complex) police state ‘blueprint’ tilted “Stability Police Force for the United States: Justification and Creating U.S. Capabilities” that has been modeled on the Nazi German secret police forces organization Geheime Staatspolizei (Gestapo) meant to ‘control and demoralize’ any opposition to the state.

Even worse for these American people is the legalization process currently embedded in their new health care legislation which will see everyone of them becoming virtual slaves of their government, and as warned about by the Fox News Service in their report titled “Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid of Obama’s Latest Big Brother Plan” and which says:

“Under the Democrats’ national health care scheme not only would OPM be charged with overseeing and administering federal employees health care but they will have the added charge of administering civilian federal health care as well. What does that mean? Basically, that Americans will be treated as “civil servants.” Are you starting to see the danger?

Several toll agencies in Florida and the E-ZPass have begun exchange of camera based data to test the feasibility of levying tolls on one another’s license plates in a pilot program. In most states when the transponder readers don’t recognize a local transponder, or any transponder, a camera is triggered that takes pictures of the rear and sometimes also the front of the vehicle. Each state or tolling area (E-ZPass IAG, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, South Carolina, Kansas etc) will generate a toll bill or violation notice based on their ability to access ‘foreign’ state motor registry databases.

The pilot program to exchange camera based data between toll areas is being conducted under the auspices of the Alliance for Toll Interoperability (ATI) and the I-95 Coalition.

Press Release: Local activist to deliver letter to Governor Henry to seek verification of his intention to sign an executive order instituting uninsured motorists cameras

Contact: Kaye Beach
Phone: 405-818-3224
Email: ladyaxiom@yahoo.com

For Immediate Release

Oklahoma City – An Oklahoma blogger and local activist, Kaye Beach, will hand deliver a letter to Governor Brad Henry today at 3:30 p.m. in order to seek verification of his intention to sign an executive order before leaving office to institute uninsured motorists cameras.

Oklahoma’s drivers believe cameras will ultimately lead to other revenue generating schemes such as generating speeding tickets, instituting mileage taxes, and other possible schemes which the state may easily implement once the system of cameras are in place.

Should said action come before the Oklahoma Legislature, activists will lobby and work to defeat legislation instituting automated vehicle cameras.

Letter to Governor Henry will read:

December 15, 2009
The Honorable Brad Henry
Governor of Oklahoma
State Capitol Building
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Governor Henry

I am writing you to express my concern about the proposed automobile license plate scanning cameras to be placed in fixed locations around Oklahoma. This is allegedly a way for the state to automatically verify the insurance status of our vehicles as they pass.

We all agree that the damage caused by uninsured motorists is a big problem, but now, on top of the risk of uncompensated personal loss or damaged property caused by an irresponsible driver we learn that we will also be subjected to unwarranted monitoring by the state of Oklahoma.

My question to you, Gov. Henry, is will you refrain from using the executive powers of the state to decide the matter and allow the people and their representatives an open examination of this issue so that they can properly weigh its merits and cast their votes accordingly?

This is a decision that should not be made without ample sunlight.

I appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,
Kaye Beach
Norman, Oklahoma 73072
